This project was a part of larger works which included a single-storey rear extension and internal alterations to the existing residential property. The garage conversion was created to form an additional bedroom complete with En-suite.
As is typical with garage conversions, a certificate of lawfulness was required, however, due to the overall extent of the work we opted for a householder planning application to ensure that the garage conversion and the single-storey rear extension were all covered by the approval.
We provided the detailed design and specification on this project to cover Stage 3 of our service and ensure that the design met all of the requirements of the building regulations.
We then proceeded to work with our client and offered on-site project management to oversee the project ensuring the builder remained on time and within budget. Where this was not possible we kept our clients up to date at all points offering them as little stress on this exciting journey as possible.
